Description
The Australian Machette Bayonet MkII Grips are a one piece unit made of a composition material (Bakelite style) made in 1946. The grips on their own are rarely ever seen for sale. These grips are in very condition but have been repaired. You will notice from the photos that there is a very small chip to one side of the grips that protrudes out (fits under the bayonet pommel) whilst on the other side there is another piece that looks to have been broken off and glued back on. One would suggest that these were removed from a bayonet. (Reference B&CB A25 pages 285/6)
