Description
This British bayonet No. 7 Mk1 has typical Tufnel composition grips of a reddish colour in the No. 5 Mk 2 scabbard. One side of the ricasso is marked “No.7 Mk 1/L” over-stamped by the acceptance broad arrow and the other M/78 which is the contractors code of Elkington who made 20,000 in March 1945. M/78 is also stamped into the swiveling pommel. Both bayonet and scabbard are in excellent, as issued condition. (Reference BCB B299, WW 846 and Priest Page 182)
