Description
British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet converted for Movie/Film. Bayonet originally made by S. HILL & Son. Regimental numbers to the socket are “14 over 1 over 70”. Converted by splitting the socket through the top and adding a thumb screw bolt through the locking ring. Bayonet is in very good condition and in a Belgium Albini leather scabbard with large numbers “3357” and possible date “1884” stamped into the leather. Several bayonets have been seen in this configuration. (Reference BCB M2, page 375)
