Description
British Pattern 1859 Cutlass bayonet with leather grips bushed for the Martini Henry rifle. Manufactured c1886 by A & E HORSTER, in SOLINGEN, GERMANY. Manufacturers logo to ricasso on one side and the Soligen inspection mark “Crown over S over 14” on the other. Scabbard is black lather with steel locket and chape. Overall length is 826mm, Blade length 680mm and with MR 18mm. Originally part of the John Watts Collection. Bayonet and scabbard in excellent condition overall. (Reference WW 765 and B&CB B193)
