Description
This British (Spike) bayonet No.4 Mk I features the cruciform blade was solely manufactured by the Singer Manufacturing Co. of Clydebank, Scotland. The scabbard is the Mk I tapered steel body with the alloy mouthpiece. It appears to have been repainted at some stage.
This is a scarce bayonet in that only 75,000 were contracted. (Reference BCB B266 and scabbard BCB page 221)
