Description
Canadian Pattern 1893 Sword Bayonet for the Martin-Metford rifle which is exclusive to Canada. An initial production run of 1,000 bayonets was made by Wilkinson. A further order of 900 was eventually cancelled. . This bayonet made made by Wilkinson in February 1894 (02 ’94) and with the ^WD acceptance mark, Wilkinson inspection mark and bending test mark on the ricassco along with the Wilkinson inspection mark to both grip scales. The scabbard frog stud is marked to the Royal Regiment of Canadian Infantry; RRCI 2238. Overall this bayonet and scabbard is in excellent condition. (Reference BCB C3)
