Description
This lot of British Spike bayonets model No.4 MkII were manufactured by The Crown Corporation Small Arms Ltd., Long Branch, Ontario, Canada for the British Lee-Enfield No. 4 rifle during World War II (1941-1944)
The bayonets are marked with the model number and bears the symbol of a “B” superimposed upon an “L” . In some instances a serial number can be seen stamped to the socket block.
Bayonets pictured in this lot are sometimes also marked with the Canadian acceptance/issue mark of an Arrow inside a “C”
In addition to the examples photographed there are several other examples for sale.
These bayonets can either be in the steel Mk1 scabbard or the plastic body MkIII scabbard. One has the Pattern 1937 frog, which are also available separately.
