Description
Australian Alexander Henry sword bayonet manufactured by the German contractor, Weyersberg in Solingen. This bayonet has the spatulate quillon with the yataghan style blade being slightly offset to the grip. As is normal the only marking is the manufacturers trade mark of the Kings Head. There are no British inspection or acceptance marks. New South Wales purchased these bayonets and this example is numbered on the pommel end “1386 over A)
The bayonet has aged patina and excellent grips and no damage. The scabbard leather has hardened but is intact and overall is in very good condition also without damage. (Reference BCB A4)
