Description
South Australian Braendlin Albini Socket Bayonet made by William Tranter with his initials “WT” stamped to the socket elbow next to the serial/rifle rack number, in this case “1087”. Serial number also stamped to the top of the socket near the muzzle end. Bayonet is in very good condition with old brown patina to the socket but does have pepper pitting to the locking ring. Blade is in original condition with no damage/pitting but does have light staining towards the tip.
The scabbard is the Patt ’53 type with black leather which shows some surface cracking. Brass locket and chape with the frog stud bearing the rifle rack number “1321”.
