Description
Australian Pattern 1907 sword bayonet manufactured at the Lithgow factory. One of the bayonets in the last year of manufacture at Lithgow (MA to ricasso – Munitions Australia) before the transferring of production to Orange. Dated March 1942 (3 ’42), grips dated 1942 (SLAZ 42) and scabbard also dated 1942 (Mangrovite ’42). Bayonet has the majority of its original blued finish. and along with the scabbard is in excellent condition with no damage, rust or pitting. May have been unissued as there is no rifle serial number to the pommel. (Reference WW 6 and BCB A10).
