Description
Belgium Model 1882 Sword bayonet for the Belgian Garde Civique to fit the Comblain Rifle. Steel crossguard and pommel with T-sectioned blade. This is the actual bayonet illustrated in Kiesling’s book # 430 on page 86 of volume two. The right side of the crossguard has the serial/rack number of 26823 and the left side “86 BE”. There is also a small “S” inside a diamond cartouche to the top of the blade. Similar markings to each side of the finial. No scabbard. (Reference WW 84 and K #430)
