Description
BRITISH BAYONET NO. 9 MK1/L manufactured by the Royal Ordnance Factory at POOLE in 1949 in blackened finish with bright blade. P in a circle with 1949 to the face of the muzzle opening. Two inspection marks, “6?/B” to the side of the socket and “V/H4” to the face of the socket above the blade. Scabbard is No.5 Mk1 painted semi gloss black. Scabbard made by Wilkinson Sword Co. with their code S294 stamped above the frog stud.
