This bayonet is similar to the P1841 Artillery Carbine bayonet (BBB No.91) but the notable difference is the square shoulders and the slot further from the collar. A scarce bayonet in very good condition with aged patina/staining but no rust/pitting. The number “35” is engraved to the socket.
No scabbard. (Reference BBB No.41 page 56 – Confirmed by Graham Priest 16 July 2020). British & Commonwealth Bayonets describe this bayonet as the Pattern 1839 Sea Service (BCB B141)
