Description
British L1A1 converted to L1A3 SLR bayonet. From 1958 onwards most L1A1 bayonets were upgraded to the L1A3 specifications by milling the recess in the pommel and replacing the press stud. Where the original L1A1 grips were retained the new L1A3 designation and stores number was stamped to the back of the pommel “L1A3 over 0257”.
Bayonet and scabbard is in good average condition. (Reference BCB B321 and page 262)
