Description
Egyptian Model 1914 yataghan sword bayonet for police. Another modification of old Remington saber bayonets with the exception this bayonet is for the .303 Martini Enfield rifle.. The bayonet retains the Remington grip and incorporates a new crossguard. Brass hilt with yataghan blade with large fullers is made by Alex Coppel of Soligen and is marked to the ricasso “A scales C”. The reverse side of the ricasso is stamped with a “C” in a cartouche. The number 14 is stamped to the pommel. The scabbard is all bright steel . Overall the bayonet and scabbard are in excellent condition without damage. (Reference JN 39 – 3)
