Description
M1871 Seitengewehr Infantry bayonet with brass grips. Sabre blade, fullered, polished bright, left side of ricasso marked with the maker’s logo/trademark of Alexander Coppel. There are no other markings to either the bayonet or scabbard which is black leather with brass mounts and long frog stud. There is a small indent to the blade’s edge. Overall bayonet is in excellent condition as is the scabbard but with the stitching being open. (Reference K 366 and Lubbe #91/92)
