Description
Austrian Model 1895 knife bayonet for the Mannlicher Stutzen. A single edged blade with stopped rounded fullers. The blade cutting edge is inverted and with the crossguard have a dull grey textured finish. The smooth light coloured grips are attached using domed rivets and washers. The muzzle ring has the bladed adjustable auxiliary sight. The crossguard is mounted to the tang with two small dome-headed rivets and is stamped “88”. Blade is marked OE over WG to ricasso and the Imperial Eagle Crest to the other side. Steel scabbard is painted a dark green/grey (80% remaining) with the frog stud marked OE over WG with the Imperial Austrian Eagle. (Reference TTH #71 and WW 39)
