Description
Volunteer Sword/Socket Bayonet. The bayonet has no markers markings or ordnance markings. The only marking is “C C” stamped to the ricasso.
What also sets this bayonet apart from others is that the blade is on the horizontal plane. No scabbard.
Measurements are: OA is 615mm, Blade: 409mm, Socket 95mm and MRD is 22.0mm
This bayonet is originally from the John Watts Collection in UK and is the actual bayonet shown in British & Commonwealth Bayonets bokk by Richardson/Skeenerton. Reference B58 on page 47
