Description
British Pattern 1837 Brunswick sword bayonet manufactured at RSAF Enfield in 1838. Markings to the ricasso are “Crown over GR” and “Enfield” followed by lightly stamped 1838. Button and spring working, however, the spring is cracked at the attached screw point whereby reducing the tension on the catch. Good profile and good overall condition, still with leather washer at crossguard but blade has wear and some minor black areas. No scabbard (Reference WW 713 and BCB B112)
